Users in phpPortfolio are those who have a username and password and can login. Users have a few important flags.
Level: Users may have different levels assigned. A level 3 user is a full admin. A level 2 user can do everything except create/edit other users. Level 1 users have no admin access, but see more detail in some records than an anonymous user.
Active: Users may be active or inactive.
Note: A note about level one users...
You may never have a need for level 1 users. It is mostly an allowance I have built in to this initial release of phpPortfolio for future consideration. Currently, level one users are able to see more details in some screens than an anonymous visitor to your portfolio. This include things like client's phone numbers, prices and rankings of pieces, etc. You might have a use for this functionality if you had a prospective client that you wanted to provide more information to. I expect to add more functionality in this area, in future versions of phpPortfolio.
